Documentation

Everything you need to schedule across every platform and know each post went out. Start with the basics below, or jump to a section. New to PostDodo? Read the 5-minute getting-started guide.

Getting started

PostDodo is a social media scheduler with one job it never fumbles: it posts, then proves it. Getting going takes about five minutes.

  1. Create your account. Sign up with email or Google. Your 7-day free trial starts immediately, with no card required.
  2. Connect a platform. Link at least one account so PostDodo has somewhere to publish. See Connecting accounts.
  3. Compose a post. Write your caption, attach media, and pick the accounts to post to.
  4. Schedule or post now. Publish immediately or choose a time. PostDodo handles the rest and reads back a receipt.
Trial tip: during your trial you get Pro-level room (up to 10 connected accounts) so you can experience the full product before you choose a plan.

Connecting accounts

From the Accounts page in your dashboard, choose a platform and follow its secure login. PostDodo supports Bluesky, Threads, TikTok, Mastodon, X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest.

How connection works

  • You log in directly with the platform; PostDodo never sees your password.
  • The platform issues an access token. We store it encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and use it only to publish the posts you schedule.
  • We record the account name and the token’s expiry so we can warn you before it lapses.

Token-expiry alerts

Connected accounts expire over time, and that is the silent killer of scheduled posts. PostDodo watches expiry and flags an account in the app before a post can fail, so you reconnect on your terms instead of discovering a dead launch. Disconnecting an account removes its stored token immediately.

Composing and scheduling

Open the composer, write your caption once, and select which connected accounts to post to. A live preview shows how the post will look on each platform as you type.

Per-platform overrides

One idea rarely fits every network the same way. On Pro and above you can override the caption, hashtags, or formatting for any specific platform while keeping a single base post. No copying across five tabs.

Post now or schedule

  • Post now publishes immediately to every selected account.
  • Schedule lets you pick a date and time. The drag-drop calendar (Pro and above) lays out your whole week so you can reschedule in a click.

Media is uploaded and re-encoded per platform behind the scenes, so a single carousel or video meets each network’s requirements without manual fiddling.

The confirmation log

This is what makes PostDodo different. After every publish, we do not just say “done”. We read back the platform’s own response and store the resulting post link as a receipt.

What you see

  • Confirmed: the post published and carries the platform’s own link as proof. Click through to the live post.
  • Retrying: a transient platform error occurred and PostDodo is automatically retrying with backoff. No action needed.
  • Failed: the post could not go out after retries. We tell you exactly why so you can fix it, rather than letting it disappear.

The log lives in your dashboard and on each post’s detail view. Nothing is ever reported as published unless the platform confirmed it.

Billing

PostDodo pricing is flat. You pick a plan by how many accounts you connect, never a per-seat or per-channel tax. See live prices on the pricing page.

Trials, upgrades, and cancellation

  • Every plan starts with 7 days free, no card required to begin.
  • Upgrade or downgrade any time from the Billing page; changes apply right away.
  • Cancel in one click. No retention maze. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Card payments are processed securely by Dodo Payments; PostDodo never stores your full card number. Need a refund? See the FAQ or email support.
