Getting started
PostDodo schedules to every platform you connect and proves each post went out. This guide takes you from a fresh account to your first confirmed post.
1. Create your account
Head to the sign-up page and register with your email or with Google. Your 7-day free trial begins the moment you sign up, and no card is required to start. During the trial you get Pro-level room so you can try the full product.
2. Connect your first platform
Open the Accounts page in your dashboard and pick a platform: Bluesky, Threads, TikTok, Mastodon, X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, or Pinterest. You log in directly with that platform, so PostDodo never sees your password.
- The platform hands PostDodo an access token, which we store encrypted at rest.
- We note the token’s expiry so we can warn you before it lapses and breaks a post.
- You can disconnect any account at any time, which deletes its stored token immediately.
Connect at least one account before composing, so PostDodo has somewhere to publish.
3. Compose your first post
Click New post to open the composer. Write your caption once, attach any media, and select the connected accounts you want to post to. A live preview shows how it will look on each platform as you type. On Pro and above, you can override the caption per platform when one size does not fit all.
4. Schedule it, or post now
Choose Post now to publish immediately, or Schedule to pick a date and time. The drag-drop calendar (Pro and above) lets you lay out a whole week and reschedule with a drag. Either way, PostDodo handles the upload to each platform for you.
5. Confirm it actually published
This is the part other schedulers skip. Open your post log and you will see each target account with its result:
- Confirmed with the platform’s own post link, so you can click through to the live post.
- Retrying if a platform hiccuped, handled automatically with backoff.
- Failed, with the reason, if it truly could not go out, so nothing disappears silently.
That receipt is the whole point. Nothing is marked published unless the platform confirmed it.
